Christmas toys from aluminium foil
This is part of our homemade Christmas decoration. Two pairs of kids’ hands made them, competing which picture would be more beautiful.
You need:
- cardboard paper,
- aluminum foil for cooking
- twine or thread
- glue
- scissors
Have in mind that that the glue should be applied on the cardboard and the foil (the picture above). When you cover the cardboard with the foil, press it very well.
The kids colored the figures with ordinary felt-tip pens (MALA). The more you apply the color with the pen the more vivid is the color. It takes time for the colors to dry, but if you are patient with the application you will get surprised by the vividness of the colors.
Do not panic if the foil tears somewhere, just use a darker color there.
We used a stapler to fasten the ribbons that would serve for the hanging.
A little playing before the shaping of the fir tree with a garland…..
Werry good
Very beautiful! I made these with my class (5-6 years old) today: the children loved it and didn’t want to stop
Many thanks for the idea!
