Have a look at a trick, taken from the Big Book of KnowHow/ Usborne.  We have it a little.

The "chopped" finger trick

box You will need a small cardboard box. If you don’t have one, do it yourself. It’s not that hard. We have a template for it.
 The "chopped" finger trick

  •  Make a hole on the bottom of the box. It should be big enough to put your finger in it.
  • Glue cotton around the hole and color part of the cotton with a red marker.
  • Close the box, before you approach someone to show your “chopped” finger.
