A Wreath of Autumn Roses
After the warm and sunny Saturday afternoon stroll in the park with the kids, when we were collecting the first fallen leaves, we made this wreath of autumn roses. It looks great on our still not-renovated front door……
We have showed before how to make these leaf roses. You can use any leaves you want as far as they are soft and bendy.
We haven’t used any glue, just a string for tying the roses…. this wreath is rather eco friendly, right:)
Fold each leaf as shown on the photo above. Start winding carefully at one end.
After you wind the leaf into a roll, place the next leaf and roll it again, making sure it’s not too tight.
When you make a beautiful rose, tie it with a strong piece of string, but do not cut it short because you will need more string to tie the rose to the wreath.
We used our neighbours’ virginia creeper to make the wreath.
If your wreath does not look luxuriant enough, you can do what we did – add more leaves around it.
We wish to have a colourful and warm autumn this year!
Me encantan los trabajos que hacen ustedes!
