The SELF-INFLATING Balloon
Even I was surprised and happy when I saw the balloon inflate itself. Well, not entirely by itself – it used the gas that’s produced by mixing vinegar (an acid) and baking soda (a base). It’s fun!!!!
You will need: a balloon, a plastic bottle от (500мл.), vinegar andbaking soda. A funnel may be handy for pouring the soda into the balloon.
Fill 1/3 of the bottle with vinegar.
Fill 2/3 of the balloon with baking soda, using the funnel.
Carefully put the opening of the balloon around the bottle’s neck, taking care not to spill the soda. If it spills before you’re done, it’s not a problem… there’ll just be a strong smell of vinegar.
When you’ve attached the balloon well, start pouring the soda into the bottle, where it will mix with the vinegar and a chemical reaction will begin. The reaction will produce a gas that will start inflating the balloon.
wow…thanks for a simple and easy experiments…
