We started with candy cones… and we made leaf fairies!…

At the weekend, while we were rollerskating with the kids, we collected all sorts of leaves in the city park. That’s where we found these gorgeous maple leaves, too. In a few days they were completely dry and could easily be bent into a conical shape.

We used a stapler to hold the cone together. We put a bead on top to add weigth and stop the leaf from turning upside down. We made the head from smaller leaves, using PVA glue to attach the googly eyes. We used pipe-cleaners to make the arms. Our fairies were made in a cinch!
