Wirehanger HEART
The making of these colorful hearts took nothing more than wirehangers (the kind you get from the drycleaner’s), colored paper napkins (as we didn’t have tissue paper), some beads and yarn.
Open the wire hanger and straighten it up a bit with your hands, then bend it into a heart shape.
As we didn’t have any felt or suitable fabric scraps, we used paper napkins and were quite pleased with the results 🙂
When we had threaded the whole heart through and twisted it closed with a pair of pliers, we made some yarn ‘spiderweb’ to give it a more accomplished look.
And this type of heart ornament is simple enough for a child to make (4 years and up). You just need beads with a wider opening.
I like to thank you for posting so many creative ideas.
So I use your idea to teach my kids.
Thanks again!
I love your site! What fabulous projects!
