faux stained glass

When light passes through the colored tissue paper, it is fractured and the pictures seem aglow. Why the black cardboard? We tried other colors, too, but they were not contrasting enough for a stained-glass effect.

You will need:  torn-up colored tissue paper, diluted PVA glue, black cardboard and cellophane.

Cut out the cardboard into two identical simple outlines. Glue cellophane on one of them. Trim to fit the shape.

Start gluing tissue pieces on the cellophane, covering them with the diluted glue. Make sure they overlap well.

When all of the cellophane has been covered with tissue, leave to dry well. Then glue the second outline over it.
