They are beautiful, aren’t they?
You will need colored paper, scissors, a needle and thread. Divide an A4 printer sheet into strips (you will get about 15-16 if you cut it crosswise). Let the child cut the strips, along the straight lines (good for the fine motor skills). It’s even better if you have scalloped -edge scissors.
After you cut out the strips, stack them together (you may trim their length with the scissors). Sew them together as shown. Put a bead or sequin on either side to fortify the place around the knot.
Decorate your pumpkin lantern with eyes and a mouth to make it even prettier.
