These are paper hearts with a cotton filling :). Use drawing paper, not printer paper which will be easier to tear apart. To make this type of hearts, color the paper first then fold it in two. Cut the hearts out and staple them together, leaving an opening in the upper part. Fill with cotton but don’t pack it in too tightly or the heart might burst open. Staple closed and glue on some cutouts from your child’s old drawings.
For this type of heart we made the shape from drawing paper, filled it with cotton then covered it with kitchen foil. We finished it off by adding colored stickers and labels.
